Updated Guidance on LBR 9004-1(c) Notice Form Language
Updated Guidance on LBR 9004-1(c) Notice Form Language
Bankruptcy Practitioners in the Middle District of Georgia,
On February 5, we issued guidance to bankruptcy practitioners in the Middle District of Georgia regarding language to be added to motions sent out in accordance with LBR 9004-1(c). The guidance should have said “…that the following language be added to notices filed in accordance with LBR 9004-1(c)…”
In subsequent discussion, we have decided to modify the guidance to make it more concise so attorneys will be able to continue to keep their notice forms to a minimum page length. Therefore, the new language that we ask you to add to your notice form should say:
“Given the current public health crisis, hearings may be telephonic only. Please check the “Important Information Regarding Court Operations During COVID-19 Outbreak” on the Court’s website (www.gamb.uscourts.gov) and refer to Administrative Orders 137 and 139 prior to the hearing for instructions on whether to appear in person or by phone.”
